6th Grade Rocks Outdoor Ed

What would Jefferson 6th graders say to future 6th graders about Outdoor Ed at Atwood Center?

“It’s amazing and you’re gonna remember it for the rest of your life.  10/10 would recommend.”

“You should definitely go, it was the greatest field-trip I have ever been on.”

“It is so fun, you get to have an outdoor experience with friends.  I definitely built my relationships with everyone.  You NEED to go, I want to go again!”

“It’s fun to do with friends, has good food, and teaches you new skills.”

“The outdoor hiking was great!”

“Predator vs Prey is fun!”

“It is a fun experience and you learn outdoor survival skills.”

“There are many varieties of activities. You are sure to enjoy the trip. Even better with a friend!”

In late April, 6th grade students participated in the Outdoor Ed fieldtrip at Atwood Center in Rockford.  Students participate in activities including Birds of Prey, Outdoor Living Skills, Archery, Shelter Building, Predator vs Prey, and Alpha Wolf.  Even the rain on Friday didn’t damper the experience students had.   Clearly from the above comments, it was a great experience for all.  Thank you to all of the teacher chaperones who attended.
