Jefferson Middle School is proud to offer the Girls on the Run Program to our 6th – 8th grade girls. Girls on the Run incorporates physical activities, and teaches girls skills for a healthy body, brain, spirit, heart and social life. Here we learn to work together as a team, to ask for and give support, and to connect to others outside of our friend group. We also train for an end of the season 5K event. When Mrs. Ulzak was asked why she decided to be a coach, she responded, “I coach Girls on the Run because I love seeing the girls’ confidence and friendships grow throughout the season.” It’s this type of commitment that makes the Jefferson program a success.
Jefferson Girls on the Run coaches are Ms. Fugman, Mrs. Ulzak, Ms. Hiquiana and Ms. Smith.
