Wildcats' track and field success

On May 6 and 8, Jefferson Middle School participated in a conference track and field meet at Elmhurst College. Out of nine schools, the Wildcats’ 8th-grade boys finished 3rd overall.

Top performances included:
Triple Jump: Miko Sokolowski, 2nd place, and Vinny Prenant, 3rd place
Shot Put: Szymon Sokolowski, 6th place
Long Jump: Jax Chavez, 2nd place
Jeramiah Jepson, 5th place
100M: Paris McKenly
High Jump: Austyn Taylor, 4th place, Max Johnson, 7th place
800M: Jeramiah Jepson, 6th place
200M: Parish McKenly, 2nd place, and Nick Kurasz, 6th place
4x400M: Legend Alka, Nick Fuentes, Max Johnson and Jeramiah Jepson, 3rd place
4x200M: Jax Chavez, Paris McKenly, Szymon Sokolowski, and Dash Austria, 1st place
4x100M: Jax Chavez, Szymon Sokolowski, Nick Kuraz, and Dash Autria, 2nd place

8th-grade girls top performance included:
400m: Violet Haddad, 5th place

On May 6, the 7th-grade girls participated in their first-ever conference meet.

Top performances included:
Shot Put: Alianna Santos, 6th place
Discus: Alianna Santos, 5th place

The Jefferson 7th-grade boys tied for fifth place out of nine teams.
Top performers include:
Long jump: Jaiden Chavez (1st place), Devin Clark (4th place)
High jump: Devin Clark (4th place), Aidyn Taylor (5th place)
100 m dash: Jaiden Chavez (5th place)
Triple Jump Aidyn Taylor (6th place)
4X100 Relay: (2nd place) Saifan Rizvi, Devin Clark, Aidyn Tayor, Jaiden Chavez
4X400 Relay: (5th place) Saifan Rizvi, Ryan Perez, Evan Spurlin, Anthony Rodriguez/Anthony Lopez
